Chiefland: City Commission discusses holding large events at Trailhead Depot

CHIEFLAND — Among the items on the agenda for the June 10 regular City Commission meeting was discussion of large events to be held at the Trailhead Depot.
During the New Business portion of the commission’s May 28 meeting, Commissioner Kim Bennett said she would like to see all events in the community with 100 people or more take place at the depot.
“That way everything is one general place,” Bennett said at the May 28 meeting, adding there is “tons of parking” at the depot and a lot of spaces for vendors to set up.
“We do a lot of our festivals and stuff there, and it turns out really nicely. It’s a really good set up.”
