levy center
History
Central Florida Community College has served Levy County since 1958 and established an educational center in 1982. In 1991, the School Board of Levy County and CFCC entered into a cooperative agreement whereby the college would administer the adult general education programs in the county in addition to college credit and continuing education programming. Initially located in Bronson, the center was moved in 1993 to its current Chiefland location. The Center is housed in 14,000 square feet of rented space in a shopping center.
Levy center Programs
The Levy Center offers a comprehensive adult general education program, continuing education courses, corporate training classes, and college credit courses leading to associate degrees. Our college credit program provides students the opportunity to complete an Associate in Arts degree in two years through classes at the Center and distance learning. In addition, the Center offers several postsecondary adult vocational programs including Customer Assistance Technology and Emergency Medical Technician.
